Good to know!

If your Spanish is already at a good level but you would like to increase your proficiency; if you wish to train as a Spanish teacher or, you are a teacher but would like to enhance your teaching practice and skills, you can chose one of two courses to pursue any of these objectives.

Proficiency Course 

If you are competent in the use of Spanish but wish to master the complexities of certain aspects of phonetics, morphosyntax and semantics, you can enrol on this specialist course of 15 classes a week. Each class is 45 minutes and the course runs over one or two weeks. You will not only increase your proficiency in the linguistic aspects mentioned above but also in the use of expressions, idiom and ‘turn of phrase’ found in colloquial Spanish and a range of cultural contexts (customs, traditions, politics, history ....). 

The price per week for this course is reduced proportionately according to the number of weeks booked (see table below).

Teacher Training course for ELE (Español Lengua Extranjera) 

If you are a non-native Spanish teacher seeking professional development or you would like to teach Spanish as a foreign/second language we offer a one or two week course of 25 (45 minute) classes per week. The course covers a range of modules including: perfecting your grasp of Spanish grammar, methodologies for teaching Spanish as a second language, developing materials and didactic teaching resources, Spanish culture and class observation. Upon completion of the course you will receive a Certificate of Accreditation. 

The price per week for this course is reduced proportionately according to the number of weeks booked (see table below).

All the courses are subject to a registration fee of 30 euros (see general information about courses and what they include). Summer courses carry a supplement of 6%.

If you wish you can complement your Spanish course with various extra activities: learn about the culture, literature and history of Spain, flamenco, surfing, Latin Dance, Spanish guitar, or Spanish for Business or Tourism. You might also like to combine your Cadiz course with one in another city and/or prepare for the DELE exam.
