Geographical Position of Cádiz

Cádiz is a coastal city in southwestern Spain and part of the autonomous community of Andalusia. The 3000-year-old city, being the oldest city in Europe, is located at the Costa de la Luz and is almost completely surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean with only a tongue of land connecting it to the mainland. Cádiz is only about 100 km afar from the southernmost point of the European continent, Tarifa.

• Getting to Cádiz by train: Frequent trains run from Jerez and about every hour from Sevilla. A very convenient way to come in from Madrid is with the Talgo train that runs twice a day taking about 5 hours. Please see RENFE for timetables.

  From Jerez Airport to Cádiz: You will need to take a taxi from the airport to the train station of Jerez. The taxi fare is about 15 €. Price of the train ticket: about 3 € and the ride will take about 45 minutes. You can choose between two types of trains: Cercanías and Andalucía Express. The Andalucía Express is faster and a bit more expensive (about 3,40 €).

• Getting to Cádiz by car: From Madrid, Cordoba and Seville you can take the A4, from Barcelona the N340. There is also a motorway (with tolls) from Sevilla to Cádiz.

Hotel SPA SENATOR CÁDIZ (4 star ****)

This recently built hotel is found in the historical city centre close to the Plaza de San Agustin, the port and the Paseo de Canalejas, and within easy walking distance of our school. The hotel lobby is a welcoming and typical Andalusian patio through which you pass to access the other rooms.

The hotel offers a SPA service and has, on the top floor, a swimming pool with stunning views of the city. There are a number of treatments available, whether you just want to relax or treat yourself to some beauty therapy. These include a roman bath, Jacuzzi, fruit bath, … One SPA session per week is included in the price.

The hotel has WiFi in all common areas and connection available in all 91 bedrooms.

All the rooms are soundproofed and come with satellite television, bathroom with hairdryer, safe, mini bar, air conditioning and/or heating, ceiling fan, telephone and connection to the internet via either cable or wifi. The bedrooms come with two single beds (1.05m x 2m), two queen size beds (1.35m x 2m) or one large double bed (1.8m x 2m). There are also family rooms available.

Hotel ARGANTONIO (2 star **)

Found in a small, rambling 19th century house, a fusion of Arabic and Andalusian art with the architectural style of the houses of Cádiz. Decorated with real care with engraved arches and mosaic structures, all contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The hotel has 19 bedrooms all decorated with supreme care and all with an individual flair. Each has its own special charm: colonial style, andalusian style, rustic style… All rooms are equipped with plasma screen televisions; there is an internet connection and air-conditioning.

The hotel is situated right in the middle of the historical centre and is very close to the school.

The hotel is characterised by the warmth of its atmosphere, where you are treated more like one of the family than just a guest.
